For
a donation of $2 you can dedicate a pink ribbon in “Honor Of”
or “In Memory Of” a loved one and help make an impact in
our fight against breast cancer. The ribbons will be on display by the
Survivor tent on Race Day.
Donations can stukk be made at packet pickup and on race day. You can download an order form. Be sure to specify the person's name to be written "IN HONOR OF" and /or "IN MEMORY OF."
Elizabeth's Garden
This
will be the third year for Elizabeth's Garden, named in memory of Elizabeth
Guardiola, a dedicated volunteer and friend who passed away in 2004.
Elizabeth's Garden is a tribute the founder of Hispanics for the Cure.
Decorating
Elizabeth's Garden will be pink tulips, which can be purchased for $10.
These artificial flowers are large enough to accommodate personal messages
and tributes to honor survivors and those who have lost their battle
with breast cancer.
Your
last chance to order tulips will be at packet pickup on Friday, June
2. Look for Elizabeth's Garden on race day to pick up your flower.
Look
for volunteers race morning with special pink back signs. You can wear
a back sign “In Honor Of” and/or “In Memory Of”
special people in your life who have battled breast cancer.
Our mission is to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease
by advancing research, education, screening and treatment.
