Help us save lives and end breast cancer forever! We want you to join us and thousands of Race participants as we fulfill our promise of saving lives and ending breast cancer forever at our 18th annual Komen North Texas Race for the Cure on Saturday, June 7, 2008!
The 2007 Komen North Texas Race raised over $1,000,000 – the first time ever – and had more than 12,000 registered participants making it our most successful event yet!
Due to our very successful 2007 Race, we will have a record amount of funds to grant to organizations in our service area of Collin, Denton and Grayson counties in 2008. Grantees like the Bridge Breast Network, Collin County Health Services, Texoma Medical Center and the Grayson County Health Department rely on us to provide grants to help care for the many uninsured and underinsured women and men in our communities who will battle breast cancer this year. Without these organizations, and without funding, these women and men would have nowhere to turn.
Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among women. This year, over 40,000 women and over 400 men will die from the disease. Breast cancer knows no gender, geographic or social boundaries. We must join together to end breast cancer forever!
