We’re dedicated to making tomorrow breast cancer-free—and to meeting the real needs of survivors today. Seventy-five percent of the net funds raised by the North Texas Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® fund breast health education, screening and treatment for the women and men in Cooke, Collin, Denton, Fannin, Grayson, Hunt, Montague and Wise counties. Twenty-five percent of the net funds raised support breast cancer research initiatives internationally.

Thanks to our 2011 Races in Plano and Denton, we will be able to grant $800,000 to eight organizations in our service area.  Komen North Texas Grantees rely on our funding to help care for the many uninsured and underinsured women and men in our communities who will battle breast cancer this year. Without these organizations, and without this funding, these women and men would have nowhere else to turn.
