Entertainment

Lacy JadeLacy Jade will be one of the featured performers at the Race. She is a 22 year old unique artist with the ability to write and perform emotional songs that capture you from the very first line. Her delivery is powerful, honest and heartfelt and honed through years of public performance. Lacy has teamed up with veteran songwriter Ron Grimes (Ron's songs have sold over 10 million copies) to write and produce her first major cd release. The Ring is the first original penned by Lacy and Ron. Lacy performs with her band"Back Forty", a group of area professionals.

Radio veteran Bill Mack said "Really like "The Ring". I'll be spotlighting it on my overdrive top ten countdown and my daily show on xm satellite radio. Within hours after Dallas radio icon Kevin McCarthy interviewed Lacy and played "The Ring" the phone lit up with dozens of positive calls about the song. And Terry Bell says: "Every time we play "The Ring" we get calls from people wanting to know who in the world is singing the song."

Lacy has been a regular act in the Ft. Worth Stockyards venues and performed in other metroplex events.. Whether performing in intimate settings or major events in front of thousands of people, Lacy has a gift for engaging the audience. After packing the house when opening for major artists Lacy is often invited back as the main act. Her stage presence is nothing short of phenomenal, as you will see firsthand at the Race.

Safety First

For the safety of all participants, inline skates, bicycles and pets are discouraged from this event. We urge participants with baby strollers/joggers to join the Fun Walk rather than the 5K event. Thank you for your cooperation.

TekChip Timing

We will offer free TekChip Timing to all participants of the 5K who wish to be timed. On the registration form, you must check that you wish to be chip timed. The TekChip is integrated into the bib and is disposable. You must wear your bib on your chest, stomach or hip. Timed participants will be allowed into the competitive start line corral before the start of the 5K. All awards and results will be based on a gun start.
